As the representative of financial entities in the area, the CCI stimulates the economy by supporting existing activities and encouraging the creation of new ones. The CCI also provides entrepreneurs with advice and information to help them with important steps and procedures.

The International House of Tapestry and Woven Art is responsible for the conservation, advancement, and promotion of Aubusson’s tapestry tradition, which is inscribed on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Through the help of a contemporary fund, the Cité also contributes to the revival of textile production in the region.

The Lainamac Training Center advises and supports companies in the wool industry, namely by providing them with access to Lanathèque, their material reference software. The Center is also a body responsible for administrating and upholding the geographical indications of “Tapis d’Aubusson” (Aubusson Carpet) and “Tapisserie d’Aubusson” (Aubusson Tapestry).

The primary mission of the Departmental Council is to attend to all aspects of the social sphere. Beyond this compulsory jurisdiction, the Departmental Council also champions the land, the environment, tourism, sports, and the digital realm.

The Chamber of Trades and Crafts of New Aquitaine – Creuse backs more than 3,200 craft businesses and their 5,000 employees. The Chamber supports these business owners in the creation or resumption of their companies, as well as in their bureaucratic procedures and training programs.

The Jobs and Training Center of the Western Creuse Region is a cooperative structure that promotes employment across the region. Its main objective is to connect companies with resources, thereby finding skills to fill needs.
